Fury rounds arranged around an expanded bullet

Our story

Hand-Loaded Means Hand-Loaded

One veteran, one bench, and a loading standard most factories would call excessive.

The name is a promise

“Teufel Hunden” is the old Marine nickname: Devil Dogs. Teufel Hunden Ammo Manufacturing is led by Paul Merioles: a believer in Christ, Marine Corps and Army National Guard veteran, and retired educator. Everything that leaves the bench carries that heritage: disciplined, precise, and accountable to the person whose name is on the box.

THAM specializes in the .41 Great Lakes cartridge, loading it to a standard built for hunters who take ethical harvesting seriously.

The THAM standard

Six controls on every round

Hand-Loaded Precision

Every round is individually hand-loaded, measured, and checked for consistency. Nothing runs on autopilot.

±0.02 Grain Charges

Multiple Supertricklers and AutoTrickler dispensers hold every powder charge inside a 0.02 grain window.

Case Conversion

Every .30-06 case is converted to .41 Great Lakes length, trimmed, and verified for uniformity.

Mitutoyo-Measured

Cases are measured with Mitutoyo calipers and trimmed to within 0.005″ to 0.001″ of spec.

Direct Consultation

Paul works with you one-on-one to match the right load to your rifle and your hunt.

Ladder Load Tests

New customers can order custom ladder tests so the first box you buy is the right one.

The cartridge

Why the .41 Great Lakes

The .41 Great Lakes has earned its place in the straight-wall community fast: ballistics that outrun the .450 Bushmaster class without the bone-crushing recoil. For hunters in straight-wall-restricted states, it delivers flatter trajectories, serious retained energy, and quick, ethical kills.

Recovered bullets like this one are the point: full, even expansion that transfers energy where it belongs.
